Quintessential Okanagan Nights

With al fresco dining, cold bevies and live music, summer nights at Cambium are everything you’d want from an Okanagan evening out. We are proud to offer a diverse line-up of talent on Wednesday and Thursday nights all summer long.

Tickets are released the first week of the month prior and cannot be reserved or held early. Wood-fired pizza is available during the concert so we hope you will plan to enjoy dinner while here.

We also host occasional culinary events which you can find tickets to here as well.

May 16 - Dan Tait

Large & filled with presence, Dan Tait is a driven singer/songwriter and composer with a finger on the pulse of modern-day issues and stories. Born and raised on the river in the Ottawa Valley, he spent his formative years paddling, writing, singing, and watching the world move around him. As years passed, he has spent his time travelling and honing his musical and lyrical talents, proving his mettle as a hard-working blue-collar musician. He is a story teller, with an aptitude for satire and political humour.

May 22 - Chayce Kennedy

Chayce Kennedy has been in love with music ever since she could reach a piano. 

As an emerging artist and songwriter, Chayce captured the interest of Juno award-winning producer Ryan Stewart (Carly Rae Jepsen, Jocelyn Alice, Carys), who collaborated with the young artist on three of her first five single releases between 2021 and 2022. 

After digging deeper as a songwriter, Chayce spent most of 2023 working closely with Grammy-nominated producer Brian West (Sia, Maroon 5, Nelly Furtado) and Juno award-winning producer Ryan Stewart on her debut EP, “Yours Truly.”

May 23 - Sadie Baker

Sadie is a singer and pianist located in Western Canada.
Originally from England, Sadie has been working as a professional musician for 15 years. Her versatile style from laid-back jazz standards to energetic pop/rock hits means she is the perfect choice for any occasion.

May 29 - Graham Ord Blues Revue

Singer-songwriter Graham Ord has garnered respect internationally as a fine musician and engaging communicator. His live performances are always passionate and compelling leaving audiences wanting more.

Graham has released Eight solo CD’s to date together with several collaborative projects which have attracted accolades from around the world. He has also written and produced music for several other successful artists and has composed scores for short film and narratives.

He was nominated for Producer of the year in the GMA’s (Gospel Music Awards) for his work with Cheryl Bear and his instrumental collaboration entitled ‘CHILL’ was nominated for a Shai award (Canada’s peoples choice music awards) for the instrumental CD of the year.

May 30 - Open Mic Night

There’s so much hidden talent in the North Okanagan. Come wow your friends and family with music/poetry/dance/fire-twirling/advanced hula hooping/ventriloquism/wild animal show/or whatever it is you do that we need to see! We’ll have acoustic guitars, digital keyboard, percussion and lots of other fun instruments onstage.

June 6 - Kailee Duggan Trio

Kailee Duggan is known for her captivating melodies that blend poignant lyrics with catchy hooks, compelling listeners to tap their feet even to the most melancholic tunes. Influenced by Norah Jones, The Beatles and Bahamas, Kailee has developed a smooth and soulful folky/pop sound that is uniquely her own.

Kailee has performed as an opening act for Craig Northey of “The Odds”, Andrew Allen, Dan Mangan, shared the stage at Kelowna music festival “Nest Fest”, with the likes of Bahamas, Paper Kites and Boy Golden. In January this year, Kailee released her first single, “So Bad at Being Alone!” and has since received national radio airtime on CBC Radio One.  

Well-known Okanagan rhythm section and close friends, D’Arcy Booth and Dylan Ranney will be joining her on the 6th for a trio performance. Having backed up dozens of skilled acts such as Graham Ord Blues Band, Josh and Bex, Sherman Doucette, Devon Coyote and many more, they bring versatile skills and grooves to Kailee’s dreamlike songs. With their extraordinary musical talent, passion and humor, this trio welcomes you to what feels like their living room, and you’re sure to leave feeling like friends.

Trombonist Bob Rogers and his band play an exciting and upbeat repertoire of horn driven funk, Latin and modern swing. A mix of original tunes by Bob and covers of compositions by Trombone Shorty, Maceo Park and others, this band will have you bopping, snapping and dancing.

June 13 - Shoestring Necktie

Formed in 2019, Shoestring Necktie was born out of an appreciation of the bands that came before us, and the desire to play music that we grew up listening to. Performing a personal take on classics in a stripped down Roots Rock/Folk/Country/Americana flavour of Acoustic Guitar, Pedal Steel, Drums and vocal harmonies. Borrowing from the likes of JJ Cale, Bruce Springsteen, The Band, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, and Neil Young.

June 19 - Karen Wiseman Trio

Karen Wiseman is a local jazz vocal favourite, known for her velvety tone and an inordinate love of the old standards. Her affinity for the classic swing tunes is evident, and she delights in uncovering and sharing some of the hidden gems in the jazz tradition.

Inspired by vocal greats such as Peggy Lee and Julie London, Karen seamlessly weaves together a repertoire encompassing old swing classics, soulful ballads, latin jazz, and reimagined Broadway or pop tunes. Karen is joined at Cambium by Sean Bray on guitar, and Stefan Bienz on bass.

This Celtic inspired band is focused on giving traditional music a modern edge. They blend the varied talents of musicians whose classical, folk, rock and jazz backgrounds fuse together to create a dynamic and unique sound that instantly connects and resonates with audiences. Through their uplifting energy, tight vocal harmonies and remarkable stage presence, they weave together a tapestry of tales that evoke a nostalgic experience of days gone by.

Based out of BC's Okanagan Valley since 2009, after lead singer/multi-instrumentalist Andrew Mercer, transplanted from Newfoundland. With him he brought his passion for Newfoundland, their rich culture and most importantly, the music.

June 26 - Django’s Jewels

Hailing from different corners of the province, Django's Jewels play the sounds of yesteryear, evoking images of Django Reinhardt's 1930s Parisienne jazz to 1950s Les Paul and beyond! The Jewels live show takes a romp through American and world music classics and sprinkle in vocals from early jazz tunes by artists such as The Ink Spots, The Mill Brothers, Fats Waller and more. 

June 27 - Daniel James MacFadyen

Born in Caledon, Ontario, Indie-folk artist Daniel James McFadyen now calls Nova Scotia home. His storytelling and interactive shows have sold out across the country, filling large rooms like the Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto and the Marquee Ballroom in Halifax.

Whether he is touring solo, or with his five-piece band, Daniel’s upbeat and interactive performances are sure to leave a mark on the audience. Daniel's latest single "Hot Sun" is up for two East Coast Music Awards this year -- Song of the Year and Rising Star Recording of the year. Vernon's own Taylor McKnight joins Daniel on stage on drums.

July 4 - Maritime Kitchen Party

Maritime Kitchen Party (MKP) is named after a well-known tradition in Nova Scotia.

We know Maritimers love to party and that usually happens in the kitchen! There's always a guitar playing, or someone belting out traditional songs at the top of their lungs. MKP brings that energy to their live performances with foot-stomping Celtic music and Canadiana. You will hear traditional tunes, Great Big Sea, Stompin' Tom, Blue Rodeo. Tragically Hip and more. Throw in some MKP originals, rock, country etc and the party is "Rarin' to go!"

July 3 - Layer Cake Mountain

Music meets alchemy when artists Bex Troock, Sean Bray, Shamma Sabir and Stefan Bienz come together to create musical gold. Celebrated artists in their own right, Bex, Sean, Shamma and Stefan weave together haunting harmonies, smooth chordal tones, and soulful string sounds against a backdrop of warm bass notes to create a uniquely indie-folk soundscape.

July 10 - Adam Robert Thomas

Adam Robert Thomas is a JUNO Nominated performer based in Vancouver, Canada.

Music began for Adam in the home; barely an evening went by when the record player didn’t see vinyl. Top plays were John Denver and Gordon Lightfoot, but Chuck Mangione’s 1977 album ‘Feels So Good’ was the album that effectively brought the desire to play music.

July 11 - Adam Robert Thomas

In 2013, Adam began performing primarily as a solo artist singing and playing guitar. In 2015 he began developing his own band and writing in earnest, preparing for his debut album as leader performing his own compositions.

The 2018 self-titled album ‘Adam Robert Thomas’ has debuted at #11 on the R&B charts in the US and is available online at all major music websites.

The Legendary Lake Monsters are a dynamic and entertaining horn-driven 10-piece Party / Dance band. 

Featuring 5 driving horns, 3 tasty vocalists, and a super tight rhythm section, rounded off by a Hammond B3 organ plus keys. 

They play both original and covered horn-driven dance music, from R&B, Soul to Salsa to Swing, with a healthy dose of Pop and Rock from the 60s to the very present. The band is well known locally for packing the dance floors and providing infectious rhythms.

August 7 - Josh + Bex

Josh + Bex are a Canadian Dream Folk duo out of Kelowna BC. Josh, with his Eastern soul-folk vibes and Bex, her melody-driven West Coast influence, together they make music that captures their vulnerabilities and draws listeners into their world with a deeply-rooted transparency and heart-forward presence. Josh + Bex won the ‘’Inside the Festival’’, emerging new artist contest in 2019 where they performed at the internationally acclaimed Salmon Arm Roots and Blues Festival.

Their sound is a unique blend of their individual histories and personal truths along the way to figuring out who they are as people, as well as song-writers. With their spellbinding harmonies and sophisticated yet rustic sound, they bear a resemblance to similar minded acts such as The Civil Wars, Angus & Julia Stone, and Johnny Cash & June Carter...but with a little Fleetwood Mac and Tim Burton mixed in. Their melodies and lyrics meet at the intersection of hope and sorrow – giving space to let their songs explore light, love, pain, and the great wonders of Mother Earth. August 8 - Nouveau Funk

Nouveau Funk is a brand new jazz/funk band consisting of some of the Okanagan Valley’s most prized musicians, and an extremely unique and novel fast paced show consisting of non-stop dance material including well known tunes from the likes of Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson, New Orleans favourites such as Trombone Shorty, Meters, Rebirth Brass Band, and jazz fusion including Snarky Puppy, Dirty Loops, and classics such as the Headhunters.

Unsure what to expect? The bottom line is Nouveau Funk shows are fast paced shows which take many unexpected turns laying down ferociously funky grooves from start to finish, but with harmonically rich arrangements written for four horns guaranteed to also appeal to our non-dancers that simply want to listen to something highly unique - songs both old and new and, at times, a little off the beaten path yet highly accessible. August 14th - Aidan Mayes

Prepare to be captivated by the enchanting music of Aidan Mayes, a talented singer-songwriter whose heartfelt lyrics and soulful voice resonate deeply with listeners. Hailing from Penticton, BC, Aidan Mayes honed her skills at the Canadian College of Performing Arts in Victoria, BC, graduating with honors. She also boasts the highest level of accreditation in Theory from the Royal Conservatory of Music. Passionate about sharing the gift of music, Aidan established the Aidan Mayes School of Music, a creative arts organization in the Okanagan. Through this venture, she provided world-class music instruction and promoted youthful exploration of the arts.

May 2021, Aidan released her fifth studio album, "Dream Again," a testament to her personal growth, self-love, and resilience in the face of challenges. Collaborating with award-winning producer Ryan Stewart, known for his work with artists such as Carly Rae Jepsen and Simple Plan, Aidan created a truly remarkable musical experience.

Stay tuned for the release of stunning singles in 2024 and the highly anticipated unveiling of Aidan's magnum opus, "LOVE," in 2025. Allen’s DIY ability and optimistic attitude have served him well. He's scored five Top 10 hits in Canada, 2009′s “I Wanna Be Your Christmas”, 2010’s “Loving You Tonight” which was lodged in the upper reaches of the charts for more than 22 weeks. 2011's "I Want You”, 2015’s “What You Wanted” and 2016’s “Favourite Christmas Song”!

His benchmark single “Loving You Tonight”, a lilting, sunny tune about an ideal romance, got Andrew signed to EPIC Records and helped put Andrew on tour with acts like Bruno Mars, One Republic, Andy Grammer, The Script, Train, Joshua Radin and The Barenaked Ladies... with the official music video garnering more than 4 million views and over 100,000 copies sold worldwide.

August 21 - Majesty

Bring your dancing shoes and prepare to get funked up because Majesty is the funk royalty of the BC Interior. They play a wide selection of funk, R&B and even some ska and a few funky originals thrown in for good measure. From Stevie Wonder to Peter Gabriel, The Blues Brothers, to Madness, this band plays tunes that are guaranteed to get you up out of your seat and on to the dance floor (or the table top). Featuring the fabulous funk princess Lindsay May on vocals, the band is comprised of some of the finest players from the Okanagan, Shuswap and Kootenays. Funking it up behind Lindsay are Trevor Wallach, drums, Shannon Sternloff, bass, Colin Spence, keyboards, Jordan Dick, guitar, Bob Rogers, trombone and Krispin Elder, sax.

August 22 - Major Mambo

Major Mambo performs the classic Latin hit songs of Cuba, Puerto Rico, Brazil, Mexico and the world: music that will make you move and dance! They have performed throughout British Columbia at the finest night clubs, restaurants, wineries, festivals and theatres. The dynamic group includes Maggie Ponzo Cotton (vocals/Latin percussion), Tricia Dalgleish (vocals/piano), Bob Rogers (trombone/vocals/Latin percussion), Stephen Buck (bass) and Trevor Salloum (vocals/Latin percussion). They perform regularly at Soul De Cuba Cafe, Hectors Casa and the Rotary Centre for the Arts

September 11 - Tyson Ray Borsboom

Canadian singer/songwriter Tyson Ray Borsboom creates intricate portraits of love and life in the modern world using little more than his trusted acoustic guitar for accompaniment. His inspired tales of loss and redemption bring to mind great northern poets like Gregory Alan Isakov, Donovan Woods and Justin Vernon.It is only a matter of time before his charisma and storytelling will be noticed on a nation wide scale.

Teaming up with producer/songwriter/engineer “Phenix Warren” for 2022/2023 projects, Tyson and Phenix have been hard pressed in the studio for most of 2023 creating a new rounded sound for Tyson. Set on finding the perfect blend between Bon Iver and Zach Bryan, Gregory Alan Isakov and Noah Kahan, Dermot Kennedy and Colter Wall. The balance between soothing coffee shop swells and charismatic fun loving folk-country has been their goal from the start. With plans for a month long west coast tour in fall of 2024, you’ll be seeing a lot more of Tyson Ray Borsboom and friends in the near future!

Sept 15 - Ryan MacMahon

Ryan McMahon likes to tell people he’s a late bloomer. But when looking at the body of work the 43-year-old from Ladysmith, British Columbia has amassed since 2006, he certainly has made up for lost time. With six releases under his name and two with his side project Lion Bear Fox.

Ryan has established himself as one of western Canada’s most prolific singer/songwriters, leading to multiple Vancouver Island Music Awards and supporting slots for Burton Cummings, Tom Cochrane, Mother Mother, Lee Harvey Osmond and others.
