We are currently hiring for the following positions.

Baker/Pastry Chef

Passionate about creating interesting and delicious seasonal dishes with regional ingredients, the Baker/Pastry Chef is responsible for execution of our pastry program. These responsibilities include thoughtful and profitable menu creation, efficient and productive execution of such menu items, and effective set-up, organization and cleanliness of the pastry section.  With a small, dynamic kitchen team it is essential the Pastry Chef exudes leadership and is a strong team-player - assisting other cooks when required and taking initiative to help build a vibrant team environment.

Proven skills in baking, pastry, prep, and line cooking are required, with a strong eye for detail, cleanliness, and sanitation essential for success.   Experience with pizza dough, sour dough, and plated desserts is necessary.

This position is available for our 2025 season running March 28th to Christmas. Wage range, dependent on experience is $19-24 per hour plus tips.

Chefs

Chefs at Cambium are part of a dynamic team with a variety of responsibilities and roles. These include contributing to the creation of seasonal dishes, ingredient preparation using local and in-season ingredients, dedication to continual organization, cleanliness, and sanitation, and working a fast-paced and from-scratch service with an open-fire forno oven. 

As our menu changes often with the seasons, it is important chefs are adaptable to change and have a strong background in cooking and plating a variety of dishes from scratch. Strong communication and a desire to contribute positively to a team environment are essential for success. Proven skills in food safety, ingredient preparation, line-cooking, and attention to detail are required.

We have a variety of positions available with start dates of March 28 or May 14, running to mid-September or Christmas depending on the role. Wage range, dependent on experience is $19-24 per hour plus tips. 

Provisions & Preserves Chef

This part-time position requires a chef with proven skills in canning, preserving, and baking for packaged items for our retail shop.  The ability to work independently with adherence to high food safety and preservation techniques is essential, as well as an innate passion to bring creative, profitable ideas to the menu that reflect seasonally available ingredients. 

Familiarity and competence working with commercial kitchen equipment is essential, and a strict adherence to organization, cleanliness, and sanitation is required. 

This exciting new role requires creativity in product planning, and the creation of delicious packaged goods that our guests can take home to enjoy. Wage range is $19-22 per hour.
